PROVO, Utah — BYU senior guard Lexi Eaton Rydalch has been named this week’s West Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

She was also named Madness National High-Major Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Madness West Coast Player of the Week for her exceptional performance during the past week’s action. The conference honor is the second for Rydalch this year, and it’s the fourth recognition by CollegeSportsMadness.com this year.

In the win at LMU, Rydalch’s game-high 31 points passed Alex Cowling to become the WCC’s all-time leading scorer.  The points were season bests at that time. With 12 rebounds in the game, she recorded her third double-double of the year. Rydalch also dished out three assists while going 5 of 8 from 3-point range.

Against Pepperdine, she tied her career high in points and surpassed her point total from Thursday’s LMU game by six, with another game-high of 37 points. She grabbed seven rebounds and had two steals while going 8 of 9 from the free throw line.

Rydalch had a total of 68 points, 19 rebounds, three assists and two steals in the two road victories. She averaged 34.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals while shooting 56.4 percent from the field, 61.5 percent from 3-point range and 69.6 percent at the free throw line.

BYU (18-4, 10-1) is currently tied for first place in the latest West Coast Conference standings with San Diego. The Cougars are on a 10-game win streak and have won 16 of the last 17 games played.
