Bracket, game times announced for WCC Championships

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced the brackets and game times for the 2015 WCC Basketball Championships at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The tournament will begin with a women's opening round match-up at 12:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 5 and continue through the championship game on Tuesday, March 10. All games will be televised live nationwide, and  will be streamed on-line.

The 2015 event marks the second year the WCC has fielded a 10-team bracket. Thursday, March 5 features a full day of women's basketball action. Seeds 7-10 will play in the tournament's opening round followed by the first two of four women's quarterfinals. Friday, March 6 opens with two women's quarterfinal games.

Gonzaga posted a 16-2 conference mark, capturing its 11th straight WCC regular season crown. With a 14-4 WCC record, San Diego finished in second place. Pacific and Saint Mary's tied at 13-5 with the Tigers taking the third seed via a sweep of the Gaels.

BYU is the fifth seed at 12-6, while San Francisco is the sixth seed at 8-10. Pacific plays San Francisco and Saint Mary's takes on BYU in Friday's quarterfinals.

Santa Clara (seven), Loyola Marymount (eight), Pepperdine (nine) and Portland (10) round out the women's bracket, and will start tournament play on Thursday afternoon in the opening round.

For the third straight year, every game from the 2015 West Coast Conference Championships will be nationally televised. 12 games can be seen live in well over 60 million homes nationwide via cable and satellite on BYUtv. They will also be streamed live on TheW.tv, the West Coast Conference's digital platform.

On Monday, the two semifinal games will be played at noon and 2 p.m.

On Tuesday, the women's championship game will be shown nationwide at 1 p.m. on ESPNU. All ESPN Networks telecasts can also be seen live on WatchESPN.

The  women's winner of the 2015 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
