PROVO -- Due to the Saturday afternoon rain and snow, the BYU softball game against Utah has been cancelled. The game will not be made up.

BYU remains atop the MWC at 7-0. They will face their greatest conference threat on May 1-2 when San Diego State hosts the Cougars for two regularly-scheduled games and one makeup game, stemming from an April 16 cancellation.

BYU gabbed the Deseret First Duel softball trophy with two wins against Utah in Salt Lake City. The Cougars defeated the Utes 11-2 and 15-0.

With three home games remaining, BYU returns to Miller Park on May 7 to host New Mexico.
