BYU Travels to St. Mary's, No. 3 Stanford

PROVO -- The BYU women's softball team will travel to California once again this weekend to take on St. Mary on Friday and PAC-10 powerhouse No. 3 Stanford on Saturday at 1 p.m.. The Cougars are riding a six-game winning streak and are currently 18-10.

BYU swept Southern Utah 4-3, 10-2 last Saturday in the season home-opener at Gail Miller Field, playing inspite of a snow storm just hours before the game. Ariel Capra (10-2) and Cynthia Fallowfield (10-4) picked up the wins for the Cougars. All-American Oli Keohohou hit the game-winning solo home run in bottom of the seventh inning in the first game. Senior Liz VanderLinden hit two triples and three RBI in the second game.

The Cougars are led BYU Keohohou, who has 13 home runs and leads the team in batting average (.462) and slugging percentage (1.077). Captain Brooke Cadiente leads the team in RBI with 30. Fallowfield leads the team in wins (10) while freshman Niki Andersen leads the team in ERA (3.57)
