Cougs Defeat UVSC in Exhibition

PROVO, Utah (April 30, 2002) After missing over a week of games due to bad weather, the BYU women's softball team was finally able to play again in friendly exhibition against crosstown competition UVSC.

Oli Keohohou blasted two home runs to lead the Cougars to a 8-2 win. Unfortunately, the home runs will not help her take the lead in the national statistics (she currently is in second place with 17). Cynthia Fallowfield added a two-run home run and Liz Boydston had two RBI.

The Cougars will finish the regular season on the road this weekend against Colorado State on Thursday and New Mexico on Saturday. BYU will host the MWC Tournament next weekend at Gail Miller Field, May 9-11.
