Temples crowned WCC Pitcher of the Week
SAN MATEO, Calif. — BYU softball's Chloe Temples was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Against Idaho State on Thursday, Temples recorded the first save of her BYU career, pitching two innings to secure a 5-2 victory for the Cougars. She dished out two strikeouts during those two frames. On Friday, Temples earned a win over Southern Utah. Temples struck out eight batters over six innings, allowing just three hits and one walk in the 7-0 shutout victory.
This is the second time Temples has been named the WCC pitcher of the week in 2022. It is also BYU's fourth overall honor, with outfielder Violet Zavodnik and pitcher Autumn Moffat-Korth previously winning one each.
