Podhurcak earns first career WCC Player of the Week
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Sophomore Alyssa Podhurcak was named the West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week after her standout performance over the weekend.
Podhurcak made a statement and helped BYU softball to three wins over the weekend. The sophomore went a perfect 3-3 in back-to-back games with homers also sequential games. She racked up a .588 batting average through five games with 10 hits, five runs, two doubles, two homers and four RBI with two stolen bases. The California native had four extra-base hits with a 1.059 slugging percentage through five contests.
This is BYU's second WCC player of the week award this season.
