Due to COVID-19 protocols, the BYU-Colorado State double-header scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 was not played and BYU instead took on No. 3 Arizona for its final game of the Wildcat Invitational.

The two teams remained scoreless for two innings before Jensen smacked a homer to give BYU a 1-0 advantage in the third.

However, the Wildcats quickly countered putting up eight runs in the bottom of the third frame. The Cougars were able to get another two runs on the board in the top of the fourth as Ava sent a ball over the fence also bringing in Arissa Paulson to make the score 8-3.

Arizona tacked on another run in the bottom of the inning and added two final runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game 11-3 due to the NCAA eight-run rule.

The Cougars will now make their first trip to California as BYU heads to the Stanford Invitational from March 4-6.
