Cougars unable to hold off Oregon State
TUCSON, Ariz. – The BYU softball team was unable to hold off Oregon State (10-3) on Friday afternoon at Hillenbrand Stadium.

- Taylei Williams: 2-3, 1R, 2 2B
- HannahJo Peterson: 1-4, 1R, 1RBI, HR
After three scoreless innings, Oregon State got on the board first bringing home two runners to make the score 2-0. However, BYU answered back as Peterson homered and a Beavers error sent Violet Zavodnik and Williams home to make the score 3-2.
But in the top of the fifth, Oregon State’s bats came alive, scoring six more runs and adding two more in the top of the seventh to make the score 10-3.
The Cougars were unable to score any runs in the bottom of the seventh and ultimately succumbed to the 10-3 loss.
BYU will play its final two games of the Wildcat Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 27 with a double-header against Colorado State at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. MT.
