Cougars fall to ECU on final day of Bulldog Classic
FRESNO, Calif. – In the final game of the Bulldog Classic, the Cougars fell to East Carolina, 10-4.

BYU scored the first run of the day in the bottom of the first as Rylee Jensen-McFarland made it across the plate. But the Cougars lead was short-lived as the Pirates put up seven runs in the top of the second inning.
The Cougars answered back with three of their own runs in the bottom of the inning, including Morgan Bevell’s first career homer, to cut the lead to 7-4. However, East Carolina continued recording runs in the top of the third, fourth and sixth to make the score 10-4.
Both teams remained scoreless in the seventh frame and BYU took the 10-4 loss.
BYU continues on the road at the T-Town Showdown March 12-14 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Cougars will take on Alabama, Bryant and Texas with the game against the Crimson Tide on the SEC Network.
