Jensen-McFarland wins WCC Player of the Week Award

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – BYU senior outfielder Rylee Jensen-McFarland was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season after her performance at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. 

Jensen-McFarland tallied a .429 batting average through five games with six runs, seven RBI, two homers, one stolen base and four walks this weekend. The Idaho Falls product blasted a pair of two-run homers, one against UC Riverside and the other against Mississippi State.

Against the Highlanders, Jensen-McFarland went 1-2, collecting two runs, two RBI, a home run and a walk. On the final day of the weekend, the senior first went 1-3 at the plate against Mississippi State, with two runs, two RBI, one walk and her second two-run homer. She followed it up going 2-4 against Bethune-Cookman with one run and three RBI.

Jensen-McFarland earned five Player of the Week awards last year during her junior season.
