Jensen earns third WCC Player of the Week Award

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – BYU junior outfielder Rylee Jensen earned her third West Coast Conference Player of the Week Award, the conference announced Monday. 

Jensen started all five games over the weekend, batting .597 while tallying runs in every game including a homer against Long Beach State. She was 11 for 19 through five games with seven runs and four RBI.

Against Long Beach State, the outfielder went 4 for 5 at the plate with three runs and drove in four runs. In the game against No. 2 UCLA, she went 2 for 4 and scored a run to tie the game at 2-2 in the third inning.

This is the fourth consecutive week that a BYU softball player has earned a weekly award. Autumn Moffat and Kerisa Viramontes previously won WCC Pitcher of the Week awards this season.
