BYU softball picks up another recruit
PROVO, Utah – BYU softball head coach Gordon Eakin announced the addition of Martha Epenesa to the 2017-18 team roster.
Epenesa joins six other recruits who signed National Letters of Intent in November.

- Parents are Corina and Leti Epenesa
- Has two brothers
- Uncle played football for the Iowa Hawkeyes and cousin A.J. Epenesa currently plays there; cousin Jacob Tuioti-Mariner plays football for UCLA, cousin Damien Mama played for USC and currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs
- Hopes to study kinesiology
Club
- Played for California Cruisers (18 gold)
- Finished second at 18G PGF Nationals in 2016 and third in 2017
Coach Eakin on Martha: “We are excited for Martha to join our 2017-18 roster. She is a tremendous athlete, has game-changing power offensively and plays at the highest level in travel ball, which will be an asset transitioning to Division I softball.”
