BYU and Utah State face off on Wednesday in Provo
PROVO, Utah – Looking to bounce back after dropping its first conference series, BYU softball will host Utah State on Wednesday for the fifth in-state game played this season.
BYU (22-17, 1-2 West Coast Conference) struggled last week, going 2-3 in five games played at home. The Cougars split a doubleheader with Southern Utah and hosted Loyola Marymount for the first WCC series. The Lions took the series 2-1 in Provo.
Utah State (19-15, 5-4 Mountain West Conference) is fresh off of a three-game series against San Jose State in Logan, Utah. The Aggies were riding a five-game win streak until a loss against the Spartans, falling 1-2 in the series.
BYU has played three teams from Utah so far this season: Utah, Utah Valley and Southern Utah (doubleheader). The Cougars are 3-1 in those games, run ruling two and losing one in extra innings.
The game will begin at 6 p.m. MDT at Gail Miller Field on Wednesday. It will be televised live on BYUtv and streamed on BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143. Live stats will also be available on the BYU schedule page.
