Bull earns fourth WCC Pitcher of the Week honor

PROVO, Utah – Junior McKenna Bull was named West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season after throwing a no-hitter over the weekend, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Bull threw her second-career no-hitter against UC Santa Barbara in an 8-0 shutout in five innings on Saturday. She threw seven strikeouts and just one walk in the win. She also got the save in the upset of No. 24 Fresno State. She totaled 25 strikeouts and 12 walks in the six games this week with a 1.82 ERA. Additionally, she moved into second place in BYU career victories, innings pitched and shutouts.

This season, Bull has 168 strikeouts, notching double-digit strikeouts in five games. Alicia Brown from Loyola Marymount was named the WCC Player of the Week.

On Tuesday, Bull was also named the College Sports Madness West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week.

BYU will play its first home game against Utah Valley on Tuesday at 5 p.m. MDT. The game will be live on BYUtv and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143.
