SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the third-straight week, junior McKenna Bull was named West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Bull was strong from the circle again this weekend at the Wildcat Invitational. She led BYU softball in the 4-2 upset of No. 15 Arizona, pitching all seven innings and throwing nine strikeouts with just two walks and two runs. That was BYU’s first win over a top-15 team on the road since 2010 against No. 7 Texas in the NCAA Regional.

She also completed her third shutout this season against UTEP, throwing 11 strikeouts and just two walks. The win against the Miners was her fourth game with double-digit strikeouts this season. Over the weekend, she totaled 31 strikeouts and only nine bases on balls.

In 2016, Bull has recorded 125 strikeouts and just 42 walks with a current ERA of 2.71 and three shutouts so far. Rachel Sellers from Pacific won the WCC Player of the Week.

Next up for BYU, the team travels to Oklahoma this weekend to play four games.
