Bull wins second-straight WCC Pitcher of the Week honor
SAN BRUNO, California – Junior pitcher McKenna Bull was named West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second-straight week on Monday.
The junior pitcher etched her name to the top of another BYU pitching record. In the 3-0 shutout of Bethune-Cookman, Bull earned her ninth-career save, placing her at No. 1 all-time at BYU. She broke a tie with Hannah Howell for sole possession of the top spot.
Against both New Mexico State and Cal State Fullerton, Bull threw 12 strikeouts. She now has a total of eight games in her career where she has thrown double-digit strikeouts. She totaled 32 strikeouts in the four games played, including three complete games.
This is Bull’s second Pitcher of the Week honor of the season, eighth of her career. San Diego’s Olivia Sandusky was named WCC Player of the Week.
BYU returns to action this weekend at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona.
