PROVO, Utah—BYU softball’s Gordy Bravo and JC Clayton were named Easton All-Americans, with Bravo being named to the first team and Clayton to the second team.

Clayton and Bravo were two of the 28 players nominated in Division I softball. Student-athletes selected to the Easton All-American teams are those “who have had an outstanding season in the circle, and those who have shown Easton power and prowess at the plate”.

Bravo becomes the 11th player in BYU softball history to be named an All-American, joining teammate Clayton who was named an Easton second team All-American last year as well.

Bravo, who led the team in batting average this year, earned Freshman of the Year and first team accolades in the Pacific Coast Softball Conference. Clayton had a record-breaking season and grabbed the overall career records in hits, at bats and stolen bases at BYU. She was also named to the All-PCSC First Team and was chosen as the Co-Player of the Year for the conference.
