BYU head coach Chris McGown on Coleman: “We feel like Lucas was one of the best-kept secrets in this recruiting class, and we are thrilled to have received his commitment to play at BYU. He has a nice arm, a great jump and already has the growth mindset that we are looking for in our program – someone who loves volleyball and wants nothing more than to work hard, get coached and get better. He has already established himself as one of the best young players in Canada and his experience playing sand volleyball gives him a head start with respect to ball-control, game-smarts and finding ways to win.”

He is very quick, athletic and strong, and will be a nice addition to our current group of setters. He also has a ready smile and a fun personality and a willingness to receive feedback that I think will really serve him well.”
