STOCKTON -- Tallying their second sweep of the season in another conference victory, the No. 4 BYU men's volleyball team defeated the Pacific Tigers in three sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-20) on Saturday.

Junior Robb Stowell led all players with 14 kills on a .545 attacking percentage. Teammate Taylor Sander was the only other player in double-figure kills with 10.

Setter Joe Kauliakamoa contributed 37 assists to the winning effort and has now totaled more than 35 assists in each of his last five matches.

In set one the Cougars went on a 4-0 run, were interrupted by two kills from Pacific's Taylor Hughes, and continued on another 4-0 run. The 25-15 set win ties BYU's season-high for the largest margin of victory in a set.

Set two saw a similar situation as the Cougars went on back-to-back 3-0 runs with a Pacific kill from Hughes in between before getting the 25-17 win. BYU finished out set three with a 25-20 score to secure the match victory.

The Cougars recorded a .415 hitting percentage compared to Pacific's .108. The Tigers were led by Hughes with nine kills.

BYU will next play at home in the Smith Fieldhouse as they host No. 7 UC Irvine on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28 and 29, at 7 p.m.
