Ramanis, Julien and Moser take home 2023 All-MPSF awards

PROVO, Utah — The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced its 2023 awards Tuesday afternoon, with Miks Ramanis named to the All-MPSF First Team, Gavin Julien as All-MPSF Honorable Mention and Trent Moser on the MPSF All-Freshman Team.

In conference play, Ramanis totaled 142 kills, 11 service aces, 21 blocks and 60 digs. In 2022, Ramanis was named to the MPSF All-Freshman Team. The sophomore has the sixth-most kills of all players in the conference. He won MPSF Offensive Player of the Week on March 27th.

Julien led all middle blockers in kills for BYU with 62 on a .529 hitting percentage. The junior also totaled six solo blocks and 31 blocks assists for a total of 37 blocks. Julien played in all 47 sets through 12 conference matches for the Cougars. This is Julien's first recognition from the MPSF in his career.

Moser had 72 kills, 39 digs and five service aces in his first season with the BYU men's volleyball team. The outside hitter averaged 2.06 kills per set, along with 0.77 blocks per set. He is one of seven players to be named to the 2023 MPSF All-Freshman Team.
