IRVINE, Calif. — No. 8 BYU men's volleyball travels to face Concordia University, Irvine on Friday and Saturday at the CU Arena in CUI's conference opener.

Most recently, the Cougars hosted the Golden Eagles in the Smith Fieldhouse in 2022, winning both games 3-0 and 3-1. CUI is coming off a win against UC San Diego, winning 3-1 at home.

After two road losses against the No. 2 UCLA Bruins, BYU still held its spot at No. 8 in this week's AVCA coaches poll. This is BYU's sixth week in a row on the rankings, with the No. 8 spot being its highest rank since January 17, 2022. Last season, the Cougars highest ranking was eight.

BYU’s senior libero Mitchel Worthington is just four digs away from earning 500 career digs. With three more digs, he will break Davide Gardini's record of 498 digs who's currently in seventh place on the all-time dig list for the Cougars.
