Slawinksi named Off The Block's National Setter of the Week
PROVO, Utah — On Monday, Off the Block named BYU sophomore setter Bartosz Slawinksi as National Setter of the Week after his performance against Concordia University Irvine over the weekend.
Slawinski started in both matches and played in all seven sets against the Eagles. On Friday, he put up 36 assists and contributed to the Cougars boasting a .569 hitting percentage, which was the team's top clip of the season. Not only this, but his work resulted in a sweep over CUI, putting an end to BYU's nine-match losing streak.
On Saturday, he tallied another 46 assists and nine digs in BYU's 3-1 victory over the Eagles.
Slawinski's national award is the first weekly honor for a Cougar so far this season.
