No. 2 Cougars to host USC Trojans for final home matches

PROVO, Utah — No. 2 BYU men’s volleyball will welcome the Trojans of USC for a pair of matches April 1 and 2. Recognition of the 2021 seniors will take place April 2 post game. 

A limited number of fans will be in attendance for both matches. Ticket information can be found HERE.

The Class of 2021:

The following players will be recognized in this year’s senior night presentation:

  • Felipe de Brito Ferreira: 2018-2021
  • Zach Eschenberg: 2017-2021
  • Cyrus Fa' alogo: 2018-2021
  • Gabi Garcia Fernandez: 2018-2021
  • Zach Hendrickson: 2018-2021
  • Miki Jauhiainen: 2017-2021
  • Wil Stanley: 2017-2021

As a class, the BYU seniors have accomplished the following: 

  • 2017 NCAA championship appearance 
  • 2018 NCAA semi-final appearance 
  • 2018 MPSF Champions
  • Five All-America honors
  • 13 All-MPSF honors
  • 1 AVCA Player of the year
  • 1 AVCA Newcomer of the year 
  • 2 CoSida academic All-America honors
  • Many more weekly conference and national awards

All- Time Series

BYU 43-14 USC

No. 2 BYU (14-2, 14-2 MPSF)

  • The Cougars lead the MPSF in aces (1.72/set), blocks (2.63/set) and hitting percentage (.339) 
  • Wil Stanley leads the MPSF in assists (10.48/set)
  • Miki Jauhiainen leads the MPSF in blocks (1.12/set)

USC (5-8, 5-8 MPSF)

  • USC is coming off of a three-game win streak, sweeping the series with Stanford
  • The Trojans lead the MPSF in digs (8.19/set)
  • Chris Hall and Cole Paxson are Nos. 1 and 2 the MPSF for digs with (2.24/ set Hall), (2.22 Paxson)
  • Seniors Vecas Lewin, Billy Fauntleroy and Noah Franklin will be recognized on senior night April 2 alongside the Cougar seniors
