Gardini named MPSF Offensive Player of the Week
Provo, UTAH. — Junior outside hitter Davide Gardini has been named the MPSF Offensive Player of the Week this week. This is the fourth career weekly award for Gardini.
In the 3-1 win at No. 4 Pepperdine Mar. 19, Gardini led all players with 18 kills, hitting .556. Gardini served three of BYU’s 10 aces and totaled 21.5 points. In BYU’s 3-0 win Mar. 20, Gardini had 10 kills with two errors for a .533 percentage. He had one ace, four block assists and six digs in that win. Gardini hit .548 for the series (28-5-42), with four kills per set.
