No. 2 Cougars on the road at Concordia Irvine this week

Provo, UTAH. — BYU men’s volleyball will travel to Concordia Irvine for a pair of matches March 26 and 27. Both games will begin at 7:00 p.m. PDT. This will be the second and third meetings between the Cougars and Eagles in the 2021 season. 

All- time series 

 BYU 5-2 CUI

No. 2 BYU (12-2, 12-2 MPSF)

  • BYU is currently ranked No. 2 in the NVA/ AVCA coaches poll
  • The Cougars lead the NCAA in single-match hitting percentage with .460
  • Wil Stanley is the Off the Block National Setter of the Week, he also ranks fifth nationally in assists per set with 10.51
  • Davide Gardini is the MPSF offensive player of the week for his performances in the back to back sweeps at Pepperdine March 19 and 20. 

Concordia Irvine (3-7, 3-7 MPSF)

  • The Eagles are coming off of a bye week, not having played since March 13
  • Raymond Barsemian is the MPSF leader in kill average per set (4.42)
