No. 1 BYU to Play No. 10 Grand Canyon This Weekend

PROVO, Utah. — No. 1 BYU men’s volleyball is set to play No. 10 Grand Canyon in two match series Feb. 18th and 20th.

(3-1) BYU will welcome (1-1) GCU to Provo for two matches this weekend. First serve will be at 7:00 pm MST for both games and broadcasting will be available through BYUtv and the BYUtv app. 

BYU leads the overall series with Grand Canyon 4-1. The Cougars will have at least four opportunities to grow thier lead this year; Feb. 18th and 20th in Provo followed by Feb. 25th and 27th in Phoenix. 

The Cougars are coming off of a strong week, beating No. 7 Pepperdine twice with Gabi Garcia Fernandez being named MPSF Player of the Week for the second week in a row. The Lopes will be playing for the first time since January 30th after game cancellations due to Covid-19 precautions. GCU is 1-1 overall after beating Concordia Irvine and losing to UCLA.
