Men's volleyball to scrimmage professional team

PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s volleyball fans will have their first chance to see the 2016 team in action Thursday night at the Smith Fieldhouse, as the Cougars scrimmage the professional squad SportConX.

The scrimmage, which will take place at 7 p.m. MST, features players who formerly and currently play on the USA Volleyball National Team as well as other former college volleyball All-Americans.

SportConX’s roster for the weekend includes former USC Trojan All-American and current professional beach volleyball setter Riley McKibbin, former UC Irvine All-American libero Michael Brinkley, former Pepperdine All-American outside hitter Josh Taylor, former Stanford All-American outside hitter and current AVP Beach Volleyball player Curt Toppel, former USC All-American middle blocker Austin Zahn and other former college players will are also on the roster.

Fans are invited and encouraged to attend the scrimmage. Admission is free to the public.
