Cougars head to regionals
PROVO -- With an impressive run at the 2009 region championships under its belt, the BYU men’s tennis team looks to surge ahead with another victorious effort in the 2010 ITA Mountain Region Championships.
The tournament begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday and will take place at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas.
The Cougars go to Las Vegas after a successful drive at the University of Utah Intercollegiates Tournament, where four Cougars made it to the semifinals in singles and two BYU pairs made it to the doubles finals. Evan Urbina defeated Patrick Kawka for the singles title and Daniel Hwang and Spencer Smith defeated Georgy Batrakov and Tyler Loong, from Orem, Utah, for the doubles title.
