Another Doubleheader for Men's Tennis
PROVO -- The BYU men's tennis team (8-5) hosts its second doubleheader in as many weeks this Friday as the Universities of Pacific and Portland pay a visit to Provo. The Cougars look to improve on their stellar home record of 33-2 dating back to the 2005 season.
Last week BYU pulled off a 4-3 victory over Cal Poly in dramatic fashion. Later that same day, the Cougars overcame physical exhaustion and sickness, cruising to a 6-1 win over Montana State.
Pacific is coming off a tough 7-0 loss to No. 28 Washington, falling to 4-5 on the season. The Tigers host Texas-San Antonio on Wednesday before facing the Cougars.
The Portland Pilots (6-4) come to Provo after suffering a 5-2 loss at Oregon on Tuesday. At the No. 2 position, Filip Zivkovic remains undefeated on the season.
BYU's match against Pacific will begin at 12 p.m. and the match against Portland will start at 5:30 p.m. Admission to both matches is free, along with pizza that will be provided for fans. BYU "Y Lot" parking is available to visitors after 4 p.m.
