PROVO -- After a week off, the No. 74 BYU men's tennis team (2-4) looks to get back to its winning ways with two home matches against Santa Clara and No. 31 Boise State Friday and Saturday at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.

"These are two very important matches for us," BYU coach Brad Pearce said. "This is a great opportunity for us to get back on a winning track against good opponents."

The Santa Clara Broncos come to Provo with a 5-4 record, having split their matches last week with a home win against Princeton and a loss to No. 69 Fresno State on the road.

The No. 31 Boise State Broncos sit at 3-3, coming off of three straight wins, including victories over Illinois State and No. 64 New Mexico in a double-header last Saturday.

In addition to trying to rack up two more wins, BYU will also be trying to protect its home court this weekend. The Cougars are currently riding an 11-match home-winning streak, after going 9-0 at home last season and winning their first two home matches this season.

BYU will play Santa Clara on Friday at 5 p.m. and Boise State on Saturday at 3 p.m. Saturday's match is a "Y" game, meaning that all BYU athletes are encouraged to attend.
