Cougars Shut Out Air Force, 7-0

PROVO -- In the last match of a three-match weekend, the BYU men's tennis team defeated the Air Force Acadamy, 7-0 on the BYU Outdorr Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars won the singles point with victories at all three spots. Jeff Olsen and Jeff Harbach defeated Eric Pittman and Justin Mancinelli, 9-7 at the number two spot. The Cougars won at both the number one and three spots by the score of 8-2.

In singles, Carlos Lozano played in the number one spot for the second straight time, and defeated Pittman, 6-2, 6-2. In the last match of the day, Jeff Olsen defeated Doug Fike, 6-7, 6-2, 7-6.

BYU travels to Stanford next week to take on the Cardinal on March 28. They then go to San Diego to compete against San Diego State and UNLV.
