Hill, Barnett compete at the ITA Texas Regional Championship

WACO, Texas — BYU's Sean Hill and Jack Barnett opened the 2020 ITA Texas Regional Championship with a loss and a win in doubles play at the Waco Regional Tennis Center on Friday.

Hill and Barnett lost to Baylor’s No. 2 seed duo of Matias Soto/Nick Stachowiak, 8-3. In the consolation doubles round, the two Cougars defeated TCU’s Luc Fomba and Max Kurzban, 8-4.

Both players are slated to play in singles action Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. CT.

In this year’s event closed to the public, men’s tennis players from eight Texas universities along with student-athletes from BYU and Louisiana are competing.
