BYU picked to finish third in the WCC

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – BYU men’s tennis was selected to finish third in the upcoming 2019-20 West Coast Conference race, announced by the league on Wednesday.

BYU earned 66 points, just two points behind the second-place Pepperdine, who also received one first-place vote. San Diego earned nine first-place votes and amassed 81 overall points to claim the honor as the preseason favorite.

BYU’s Sean Hill was named to the six-member All-WCC Preseason Men’s Tennis Team for the second year in a row.

The league coaches vote on the poll and also select the student-athletes named to the preseason team.

BYU finished third in last year’s WCC race after being picked in a three-way tie to finish second.

The 2020 WCC Men’s Tennis Championship will take place at the Biszantz Tennis Center in Claremont, California, April 23-25.
