Four Cougar players set to compete at Wildcat Invitational

PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s tennis team opens its fall season this weekend, Sept. 20-21, at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona.

The Cougars will send four players to the University of Arizona to compete in both singles and doubles tournament play. David Ball, Mateo Vereau Melendez, Brocton Andrus and Jack Barnett will represent BYU.

Ball is starting his final season as a Cougar while teammate Vereau Melendez is one of four sophomore’s on the team. Andrus is returning as a redshirt freshman after sitting out last year due to an injury and Barnett is the only true freshman on the team.

The Wildcat Invitational is a two-day event beginning Friday, Sept. 20.
