Four Cougars earn WCC Honors
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – No. 43 BYU men’s tennis players Ben Gajardo, Sean Hill, Jeffrey Hsu and Sam Tullis earned All-West Coast Conference honors as voted on by the coaches.
Hill was named All-WCC First Team Singles for the second time in his career after posting an 18-2 overall record and remaining undefeated in the conference with a 7-0 record. Hill led the Cougars in the No. 1 slot all season.
Hsu was named All-WCC Second Team Singles after representing BYU at the No. 2 position. He went 10-5 overall and collected four wins in conference, only dropping two matches.
After leading the Cougars at the No. 1 doubles position all season, Hill and Hsu were also named All-WCC First Team Doubles. The duo landed a 12-4 overall record and posted a 4-2 WCC record. They were ranked as high as No. 18 nationally as a doubles team.
Tullis and Gajardo earned All-WCC Second Team Doubles with their undefeated season. With a 16-0 record on the season, the Cougar pair collected five of those wins from WCC matches. They represented BYU as the No. 2 doubles team.
