No. 33 Cougars host San Francisco in last home match of the season
PROVO, Utah – No. 33 BYU hosts its last home match of the season against West Coast Conference foe San Francisco Friday at 1:30 p.m. MDT at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.
The two seniors, Matthew Pearce and Jeffrey Hsu, will be recognized at the match for the team's Senior Day.
The Cougars (16-3, 5-1 WCC) upset No. 24 San Diego 4-3 last week at home. Sam Tullis and Ben Gajardo upset No. 46 Joel Gamerov and August Holmgren 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, which aided them in receiving this week’s WCC Doubles Team of the Week honors. BYU remains undefeated at home with an 11-0 record.
The Dons (3-11, 0-5 WCC) went 0-2 on WCC play over the weekend with losses against Gonzaga and Portland. BYU holds a 9-1 overall record over San Francisco and has gone 4-0 at home against the Dons.
