SAN BRUNO, Calif. – BYU men's tennis was selected to finish in a three-way tie for second place in the upcoming 2018-19 West Coast Conference race, announced the league.

BYU, Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara all received 63 points in the preseason poll, placing them in the tie for second place.

San Diego was selected to win the league race.

A total of three WCC teams received multiple first-place votes, but it was the Toreros who amassed 80 overall points to claim the honor as the preseason favorites.

BYU's Sean Hill was named to the six-member All-WCC Preseason Men's Tennis team.

The league coaches vote on the poll and also select the student-athletes named to the preseason team.

BYU finished second in last year's WCC race after being picked to finish in fourth in the preseason poll.

The 2019 WCC Men's Tennis Championship will take place at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif., April 24-27.
