Cougars begin tournament play at Milwaukee and Wildcat Invitationals

PROVO, Utah -- The BYU men's tennis team opens its fall season this weekend, Sept. 20-22 in Milwaukee and Tucson.

BYU is excited to show its hard work and dedication from this summer's preparation. The Cougars will send four players to Marquette to compete at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic while six other players will participate in the Wildcat Invitational at the University of Arizona.

Matthew Pearce and Jeffrey Hsu are the two seniors on the squad with doubles records of 13-8 and 22-9, respectively. The three returning juniors on the team are David Ball, Sean Hill and Sam Tullis. Sophomores Ben Gajardo and Jacob Tullis begin their second season. Brocton Andrus returned home from his mission this previous summer and will join Kobe Tran, Vinicius Feijao Nogueira and Mateo Vereau Melendez as freshmen.

The Milwaukee Invitational begins Thursday, Sept. 20 and runs through Saturday.

The Wildcat Invitational is a two-day event beginning Friday, Sept. 21.
