PROVO, Utah— BYU men’s tennis has announced the signing of Utah native Brigham Andrus for the 2020-21 season, following his two-year LDS mission.

“Not only is Brigham a state champion, but he is one of the best players in the Mountain Region, as well as on the national level,” BYU head coach Brad Pearce said. “He’s going to be a great player for us after his mission. Our program continues to be fortunate to get such talented young men.”

Earlier this year, Andrus moved to California and began training at the Advantage Tennis Academy to improve his overall tennis game. In 2016, Andrus won the 5A State Championship in No. 2 Singles and helped Lone Peak win its first 5A State Tennis Championship as a team. Andrus’ older brother, Brocton, also signed with BYU and will resume play in the 2018-19 season, following his LDS mission in North Carolina.
