Cullimore, Pearce named WCC Doubles Team of the Week
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Senior Keaton Cullimore and junior John Pearce were honored as the West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week after their strong performance against San Diego on Saturday.
Cullimore and Pearce teamed up for a dominating 6-2 win over San Diego's No. 1 team of Filip Vittek and Joshua Page on their way to their first conference honor as a tandem. The win set the tone for the Cougars' 4-0 shutout against the Toreros, beating San Diego for the first time since 2013.
Cullimore and Pearce have both previously earned conference honors this season, but not together. Cullimore was the Singles Player of the Week on March 7, and Pearce was on the Doubles Team of the Week with Jacob Sullivan on February 7. This is the fifth weekly honor for BYU this season.
