Cougars host WCC opponent Pacific

PROVO, Utah – After a tough loss on the road last week, BYU men’s tennis returns home to host conference opponent Pacific on Saturday.

BYU (9-8, 2-0 West Coast Conference) is coming off a 4-1 loss to UNLV in Las Vegas. John Pearce posted the Cougars’ lone victory with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles over Courtney Lock. BYU is 7-2 at home so far this season and is looking for its third-consecutive conference victory in Provo.

Pacific (7-7, 1-0 WCC) picked up its first league win with a 4-3 victory against San Francisco last week. The Tigers play Fresno State and Utah State on the road this week before heading to BYU on Saturday. Last season, No. 70 Pacific defeated No. 54 BYU 4-0 in California during the final match of the Cougars' regular season.

BYU plays Pacific on Saturday, March 18, at 11 a.m. MDT on the outdoor tennis courts. Admission is free to the public and there will be free pizza and giveaways.
