Cougars wrap up preseason play at SoCal Intercollegiates
LOS ANGELES – After a strong finish in singles and doubles, BYU men’s tennis wrapped up play on Saturday at the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships hosted by USC.
"The guys had an awesome week with some significant wins, especially Aidan (Carrazedo)'s win over No. 63 Jake DeVine from USC," BYU head coach Brad Pearce said. "All of them represented well. I'm proud of them."
After upsetting No. 63 DeVine (USC), senior Aidan Carrazedo advanced to the singles quarterfinal where he fell to UCLA’s Max A. Cressy, 6-1, 6-1.
Carrazedo and teammate Sam Tullis reached the round of 16 in doubles before dropping their match to UC Santa Barbara’s Nicolas Moreno de Alboran and Joseph Rotheram, 8-5.
