Carrazedo, Tullis fall at ITA Regionals
LAS VEGAS -- Aidan Carrazedo and Sam Tullis dropped their doubles match on Friday as BYU concluded play at the ITA Regionals Presented by Oracle.
"Everybody competed and performed well," BYU head coach Brad Pearce said. "This tournament was invaluable from a coaching standpoint to get a good understanding of not only where we're at as a team, but where each of our players can improve during the rest of our fall season."
Carrazedo and Tullis fell to Boise State's Kyle Butters and Jack Heslin, 8-4, in the round of 16.
In the consolation bracket, JD Malan and partner Scott Hintze from Weber State lost to New Mexico's Sean Baklini and Jorge Escutia, 8-1. Jacob Sullivan and Matthew Pearce withdrew from their second round doubles match.
Carrazedo also fell to No. 5 seed Bart Van Leijsen (New Mexico), 6-1, 6-0, in the third round qualifier of the consolation singles draw.
