Men's tennis travels to Albuquerque for ITA Regional Championships
PROVO, UTAH (October 19, 2015)--All nine players on the BYU men's tennis team will be traveling to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championship, Oct. 21-24, hosted by the University of New Mexico.
"The reigional is timely for us," said BYU head coach Brad Pearce. "We've been working really hard and you can only work for so many weeks and months without a tournament. I think the guys are ready and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do. Hopefully, we'll get a BYU player winning a singles or a doubles title, or even both so that we can represent the school in the national indoor tournament."
Players will be participating in the singles and doubles draws. Sophomore Shane Monroe is anxious to continue his strong play from the All-American qualifiers, and Scott Bohne, Keaton Cullimore and John Pearce look to re-establish themselves in ITA play coming off their LDS missions.
This will be the second and last tournament for the Cougars this season.
Check back later for tournament draws and updates.
