PROVO, Utah — All nine of the members of the 2015-16 BYU men’s tennis team will compete in the Fall Tennis Classic being played on the BYU campus, Sept. 10-12.

Draws for Fall Tennis Classic

The tournament is unique in that each player enters on his own, pays the appropriate registration fees and competes individually and does not represent the university. Other local college players and junior players will also participate in the three-day event.

For the Fall Tennis Classic, BYU’s Shane Monroe is the No. 1 seed in singles action with teammate Keaton Cullimore competing as the No. 2 seed. The other two seeded Cougar players are Andrey Goryachkov, the No. 3 seed and John Pearce as the No. 4 seed in singles.

“This is a great opportunity for our team to start the fall season to get a feel for what they’ve been working on during the summer months in preparation for the upcoming year,” BYU head coach Brad Pearce said.

The matches start at noon Thursday, and continue through to the finals on Saturday at 10 a.m. All matches will be played on BYU’s outdoor tennis courts and the event is free to the public.
