Pearce, Governor Herbert to play doubles in “Breakfast at Wimbledon†community tennis event and book launch party
PROVO, Utah — BYU men’s tennis head coach and former Wimbledon quarterfinalist Brad Pearce and Governor Gary Herbert will team up during the official launch party this Saturday from 9-11:30 a.m. for Pearce’s recently released book, Life Lessons From Centre Court at Wimbledon.
In conjunction with the Utah Tennis Association, the book’s official launch party “Breakfast at Wimbledon” will be held at Coach Mike’s Tennis Academy at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. KSL news anchor Dave McCann will emcee the event.
The event will feature an exhibition doubles match as Pearce and Herbert take on Bryan Marchant, director of tennis at Coach Mike’s, and T.C. Christensen, an avid tennis player and prominent Utah filmmaker.
The morning will begin with the Wimbledon favorite of strawberries and cream and a free tennis clinic along with a “hit for prizes” sponsored by Wilson, followed by the celebrity doubles match and book signing.
All proceeds from the book sales the day of the event will be donated to the Utah Tennis Foundation.
