PROVO, Utah— BYU men’s tennis gets set to host its first ever ITA Summer Circuit Series July 24-25 at the outdoor tennis courts.

The circuit is made up of nine regional sites with the Cougar program hosting one of four tournaments in the Mountain Region. New Mexico, Colorado and Denver are the other three schools hosting tournaments in the region.

“We are proud to have been selected to host this prestigious event,” BYU head coach Brad Pearce said. “Hosting puts us in elite company with some of the top programs in the nation.”

Participants will play for an opportunity to compete in the ITA/USTA National Summer Championships in Bloomington, Indiana, in August. The circuit provides college (and junior and alumni) players the opportunity to compete in organized events virtually year round.

The tournament will consist of both a men’s and a women’s draw as well as a doubles draw. Nearly 30,000 men and women have competed in ITA Summer Circuit events since it began in 1993.

Registration for the regional at BYU is now open.
