Cougars welcome No. 53 Dons

PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s tennis looks to preserve their undefeated conference record to host No. 53 San Francisco Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Provo.

The Cougars (8-9, 2-0) hope to bounce back from a 4-0 loss to No. 45 New Mexico last Saturday in Provo. BYU is 2-0 in West Coast Conference play after wins over Saint Mary’s and Santa Clara. Senior captain Francis Sargeant continues to climb the BYU all-time singles victories list with 87 wins. Freshman Shane Monroe leads the Cougars in wins this season with 12 including six wins at No. 1 singles.

The Dons (8-4, 2-0) come to Provo after a big 5-2 victory over Pacific. San Francisco boasts the No. 45 doubles duo in the country with Bernardo Saraiva and Nils Skaiaa. Saraiva also leads the Dons from the No. 1 singles slot.
