PROVO, Utah -- The BYU men’s tennis team returns home for a regional showdown with Idaho Saturday at 5:30 p.m. MST.

With a 2-1 record at home, the Cougars (5-7) look to swing momentum their way as they take on the Vandals (5-6).

“We’ve been working hard in preparation for the match on Saturday,” BYU head coach Brad Pearce said. “We’ll be hungry for a win.”

With a roster including eight freshmen, junior captain Francis Sargeant stands out, leading the team through 2014. The 114th nationally-ranked player beat No. 87 Slim Hamza last week in the annual rivalry match against Utah, extending his dual match record to 10-1 on the season.

Freshman Jeremy Bourgeois also came away with a win, edging out Cedric Willems 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

Live statistics will be available for the match on the BYU athletics website.

The Cougars will be on the road next week as they face New Mexico and No. 55 Texas Tech, March 7 and March 8, respectively.
